Soooo close
Published by Nate Nance July 20th, 2007 in This WeblogWhile driving down Franklin the other day I noticed a beautiful vintage Mustang at what I thought was a car dealership. I got so excited that Common Sense Mom actually drove my car over there the next day to talk trade on my 2002 Cavalier.
Turns out, it wasn’t for sale. It was actually at the auto shop next door. It was a ‘65 with the full Rally Package. 289 V-8, steel wheels, dual exhaust with chrome-plated pipes. Dude bought it in 1965 when he got married and he was having it tuned-up and overhauled. Can you imagine. A gorgeous candy apple red 1965 Mustang with only one owner ever!
Needless to say, the guy wasn’t able to sell it, and even if he was, he’d want a lot more than what my Cavalier is worth.
Oh man, I was so close I could touch it! Oh well, back to the search for a cheap superbike that I look really cool riding on those sunny days.
