Sad news

Chubs died at 9:30 last night. My mom held him in her arms and he wanted to wag his tail and be the happy dog he was supposed to be. But he was just too tired. Finally, he just wanted down so that he could lay down and “go night night” for the last time.

100_0215Mom noticed that he stopped moving his head and she and Aunt Sis knew he had passed on. The Jesus had to be kept separate because he wanted his little brother to get up and play like old times. But he wouldn’t.

Common Sense Mom didn’t want to call me and tell me at work, so I when I got home there was a note on the fridge to wake her up. I knew then that the news wasn’t going to be good. Especially since The Jesus was in the house.

She told me and I couldn’t stop crying. Chubs was my little baby. I used to sneak him into my room to sleep in my bed every night. I’ll never really be able to have another dog without thinking of him.

I spent an hour in the chair with The Jesus petting him since he’s sad he lost his little brother. Then I gave him kisses and treats. It’s just the three of us again. We’ll have to give him extra love and attention since he’s going to be lonely without a playmate during the day again.

With the moving and cleaning at the house and the death of Chubs, I’m probably not going to write very much the next couple of days. Not unless I really feel the need to.
