My new name for next Saturday’s impromptu film festival is the 1st Annual Cinco de Mayo Sausagefest!

Oh yes, there will be beer.

See what I did there? I used a line from the trailer for Saw II and made it funny and topical.

Do you want to go to Sausagefest? Do you live near Waco? Will you pay a $5 cover charge? Alright, fine. This will be gratis. It will be first come, first served with the Hebrew National hot dogs, though. And there will be some beer, but if you don’t like Shiner Bock, I suggest you bring your own.

Tentative schedule begins with Beerfest at 1 p.m.

What makes it into the festival will be determined by what those attending wish to see. Almost certainly will be some of After Dark Film’s Horrorfest. If there is a particular movie you want to watch, bring the DVD by all means.

If you want to attend, RSVP to me by Wednesday; that way I know how many people are coming and how many hot dogs to buy.

Be prepared to listen to me yak throughout each movie as I’ve spent way too much time playing 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon and know way too much about the movie biz. Seating is limited, because, hey, we’re talking about my living room here. You’ll want to get in on this early on.
