Longtime readers know that really, I only watch Countdown with Keith Olbermann to get my news every night. That, and Dateline, because I love watching Chris Hansen’s To Catch a Predator stings. Those guys are so funny.

Anyway, Keith’s coment last night was all about Condi.

On the Sunday morning interview show “Of Broken Record” on Fox, Dr. Rice spoke a paragraph, which if it had been included in a remedial history paper at the weakest high school in the nation would’ve gotten the writer an “F” — maybe an expulsion.

If Congress were now to revise the Iraq authorization, she said, out loud, with an adult present: “… it would be like saying that after Adolf Hitler was overthrown, we needed to change, then, the resolution that allowed the United States to do that, so that we could deal with creating a stable environment in Europe after he was overthrown.”

Of course, that is probably the worst comparison that could have been made. Keith pointed out that Hitler and Saddam, not exactly similar. In fact, comparing the two is a major insult to the men of “The Greatest Generation” who fought against the Nazis and their allies.

And the fact that the president did, in fact, go back to Congress for a new authorization bill to help rebuild Europe after Hitler was overthrown. It was called ‘The Marshall Plan’ and named after General Marshall who, at the time was… wait for it… the secretary of state! Isn’t that Condi’s job?

Also, the party in Congress that opposed the plan was the Republican party.

The fact that we have morons, especially “Dr.” Rice, in ever single important post in this administration worries me greatly. It’s really a wonder that they haven’t annihilated us all in a nuclear holocaust already.
