Hippies need not apply
Published by Nate Nance October 16th, 2006 in Democratic Party, Texas Politics, Television, County PoliticsAll right, if hippies really want to they can.
Election Day Poll Workers Needed
We still need a few additional poll workers (Alternate Election Judges) to work Election Day, November 7. The hours will be from approximately 6:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be an Election Judge and a clerk to assist with the election (you will not be alone!). The pay is $7.00 per hour. There will be a training session from the Elections Office staff.
If you are interested – or know someone who may be interested – in making sure we have Democrats overseeing each polling location, please respond by e-mail or call me at 753-1998.
These are important positions and all Democratic candidates need your help, if you can help.
Early Voting Ballot Board
We still need a few volunteers to work on the Early Voting Ballot Board/Signature Verification Committee. This committee is responsible for verifying the signatures on the ballots by mail and processing the mail ballots. It is very important we have a full contingent of workers for this committee. We will have 20 Democrats paired with 20 Republicans in two-person teams.
The EVBB will meet on Saturday, November 4, beginning at 8 a.m. and will work until finished. It will reconvene on Tuesday, November 7 at 8 a.m. to verify and process mail ballots received between Saturday and Tuesday. I believe the pay is $7 per hour.
If you are interested – or know someone who may be interested – in making sure all ballots by mail get counted, please respond by e-mail or call me at 753-1998.
