I should probably say at the beginning, I haven’t watched the debate yet. I’m planning on doing it later, but work has once again gotten in the way. Plus, it seemed really like a waste of time. Who was going to be home to see it? The most anyone is going to know about it are 10-second video clips and what the see on their local news cast.

I don’t even know if they got past any of their pre-scripted answers to actually address the concerns on Texans.

All I do know is that the only person in this race that is not an idiot or out for simple personal aggrandizement is Chris Bell. Everyone else seems so craven, so fake and so disgusting as to make me ashamed that any Texan would be supporting them.

Some of my coworkers who did watch the debate talked about the lightning round, so to speak, at the end where they had to answer trivia questions. At least that is mildly interesting. I also found it interesting to know that Strayhorn didn’t even know who the president-elect of Mexico was. Of course, the only reason I know anything about Mexican politics is because I wanted to lead a communist revolution to overthrow that other guy and install a military junta government with me as ‘el presidente.’ I was busy that weekend, so I never got around to it.

Anyway, I’ll get around to talking about how good Rick Perry’s hair looked, how sad Strayhorn was or how nice it is that Kinky still plays dress up later on.
