(Ed. note: That is without a doubt, the easiest headline I’ve ever written in my three years of blogging.)

A friend just asked me what I thought about the alleged attempted suicide of Terrell Owens. Here’s what I emailed her:

I think that, much like me, he was in a lot of pain. When I haven’t had anything to for a few hours to take the edge off the pain in my leg, I get desperate and start popping pills or doing anything to stop the pain. I lose all sense of logic. I’d stick a rusty syringe full of rat poison in my eye if you told me it would make the pain go away.

And that’s 100% true. There is no reason and logic when I’m in pain, I go straight into drug taking mode. Whatever works and however much I need to make it work. It doesn’t matter to me if I’m not supposed to take more than 8 Ultram a day. I’ll take 50 if that’s what it takes to make the pain go away.
