Not quite dead yet

Hello all. I haven’t written anything for almost a week even though I have been on Myspace talking to a few friends, including my favorite hardcore porn star Sasha Grey and a few emails with my deepest love AJ Khan.

Surgery went well. I was a little nervous, it being my first surgery and my deep phobia of surgery and all. But after the got the IV in and and put in some relaxing juice, I was right out. I didn’t even need the general to go under. Dr. Ellis found some a tear in the meniscal cartilage with some fluid in my knee. He’s a good surgeon, so he did a good job and I’m glad we did it.

I woke up in a lot of pain and I did a lot of pain pills over the weekend. It was a 10/500 mix of Lortab and I’m on my second script already. But I’ve been cutting down as I’ve been healing. When I took the dressing off my leg Saturday, my knee was the size of a big grapefruit. And the swelling was causing a lot fever. My temp got up quite a bit and I’m still taking a lot of Tylenol to keep it down. I thought I might be back Sunday night, but I still haven’t gone back to work. I think I’ll be back Tuesday night, though.

There were a few things that still bug my mind.

  1. My thigh is still hurting. It’s hurting a lot, just like before. I hope rehab is able to work out that muscle so that I’m not still crippled. That’s what scares me the most, that fixing my knee didn’t really solve the problem. I just have to be optimistic and hope that it works out.
  2. The other has to be my drug addiction. I know I’m addicted, I’ve read enough about pain killer withdrawl to know that’s what I felt everytime I tried to not take anything. If everything is hunky dory with the leg now, I don’t need the pills, but it’s not going to be easy to quit. But I need to.

A lot of things happened over the past week. I didn’t get around to them, but I will try to keep up from now on. A lot less on my mind to distract me now. I want to thank everybody for their well wishes. I appreciate it a lot. Thank you and God bless.
