I mentioned in the comments my “Vote Bush” t-shirt. I realized that I haven’t worn it, and thus haven’t written about it in quite some time. So I’m taking this oppurtunity to go way back and link to one of my older posts from the summer of 2004.

The Alamo Drafthouse was sponsoring a rolling roadshow viewing of Fahrenheit 9/11 in Crawford. For a month, I had hyped this thing to all 5 of my readers and I was looking forward to Michael Moore himself visiting Crawford.

The vitriol was at about the level you saw last summer with Cindy Sheehan. One of the local shops started selling t-shirts that encouraged people to protest Moore’s visit and the screening of the movie. The night of the screening, Moore was in Boston because the Democratic National Convention happened that week, and I sent Common Sense Mom as a roving reporter to estimate the size of the crowd and to buy me a souvenir t-shirt.

So now when I wear the t-shirt, people who know me don’t understand why I’m wearing it and people who don’t know me think I’m a retarded Republican. Truly, the best of both worlds.
