What is too mature for toddlers? Apparently, Melanie Martinez, host of the PBS Kids Sprout network show The Good Night Show is. She was fired from her job after the network learned of her other work.
In the two “Technical Virgin” videos — made before she landed the children’s show job — she spoofs PSAs about […]

An end to the Ramonce

Longhorn sophomore tailback Ramonce Taylor has announced he is transferring to another university. You may know of Taylor because of the 15 touchdowns he scored last year for UT during their national championship season. Or, you may know of him for getting busted with five pounds of pot in Bell County in May. Chances are […]

How was your day, dear?

My day was peachy. I went to my first physical therapy appointment. I filled out forms, I did some tests and I’ve got the best explanation so far as to why I have such chronic knee pain. My quad muscles are almost non-existent, especially my interior ones. My outside thigh muscles, totally strong. Too strong, […]

It’s gotta be Burleson, Texas. I mean, they have character.
“Burleson heralded as city of character,” boasted the headline in the April 28, 1999, edition of the Burleson Star, the town’s newspaper. The City Council, school board, Chamber of Commerce, and Ministerial Alliance Auxiliary had signed a resolution making Burleson a City of Character. “I do […]

So I can’t begin to understand all of the technical aspects of this story, but I am awed that a Republican would want to sue the president.

Farrell’s asked for a restraining order to protect him and […]

Decent weekend

Kevin Smith says that Clerks II has already turned a profit. From his Myspace blog:
Monday Morning Box Office Update!
According to FINAL weekend box office numbers, “Clerks II” did a little better than the Sunday estimate of $9,625,000 for the weekend. The ACTUAL figure, according to the Weinstein Co. this morning, is $10,061,132.
Still doesn’t move us […]

So that’s why

I couldn’t access Myspace most of the weekend, and I just found out that it was because of power outages in L.A. and the heat wave that has taken California. Because of you people and your global warming, I couldn’t talk to my pornstar friends. Do you realize how angry that makes me.

Getting closer

According to the latest Wall Street Journal/Zogby poll, the race for the senate in Texas is now at 52-37% for Hutchison. That’s a two-point jump for Radnofsky and another point down for KBH. In fact, that would put her down a full 17 points from this time last year.

Two things

This weekend, I had cause to be very angry with myself. On Saturday, when I was at Space Monkey’s house, he asked me a simple question, “How long do I need to put this can in the freezer to get it cold for my drink?” It wasn’t until Sunday morning that I realized how much […]
