Crisis in the Middle East?

If you watch The Daily Show, you get the question mark.

Anyway, it seems like Israel is prepared to launch a ground assault to go with the bombings and air strikes that have preceded the past nine days. Some people think this all but apparent war is Israel’s fault. Two soldiers are abducted and one killed shouldn’t mean all-out war in the powder keg region of the world. I think quite the opposite.

First off, Hezbollah is a terrorist organization. Whether or not the response is proportional this time or not, Israel is justified in fighting this group. Call me crazy, but in a Global War on Terrorism, we should side with those fighting the terrorists. A cease-fire won’t cut it. Hezbollah must be crushed.

Number two, the Holocaust. Genocide is a good reason to go all out to defend even one Israeli. If I lived around a bunch of people who constantly talked about wiping me off the face of the earth, and I had lost part of my family to the Holocaust, I would tend to fight for every Israeli, too. When the Muslims get targeted for extinction, then we’ll let them get away with anything.
