Stop me if you’ve heard this one
Published by Nate Nance July 13th, 2006 in Noteworthy News, NSFWWhat do Jesus, Martin Luther King and Kenneth Lay have in common? Apparently a lot according to one of the eulogies at the latter’s funeral service yesterday.
Rev. Bill Lawson compared Mr. Lay to civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. and Jesus Christ, and said his name would eventually be cleared.
“He was taken out of the world right at the right time,” he said. “History has a way of vindicating people who have been wronged.”
Tell that to the Enron employees who lost their pensions. Burned! I am the insult master. In fact, some might say that they were vindicated by God smiting the hell out of Lay. I’ve heard tell that massive coronaries are quite painful, so he didn’t go quietly and gently into that good night.
By the way, George Sr. and Babs Bush were in attendance. They came in through the back door and didn’t talk to any media, which reminds me, my friend Sasha Grey’s next movie In Thru the Backdoor should be out soon. Should be a good one. George Jr. apparently couldn’t make it. To the funeral not the porno theater, I mean. Although, if anyone reading this buys the DVD and gives it to the president, at least then I can say I helped make her really famous. Can you tell my meds have kicked in?
I also would have accepted that all three had really shitty HMOs.
