It’s not plagiarism if…
Published by Nate Nance July 10th, 2006 in Noteworthy News, This Weblog, JournalismYou’re Ann Coulter, because Ann Coulter can do whatever she wants. I don’t know, that seems to be her motto. Two weeks ago, a renowned plagiarism watchdog and expert John Barrie exposed Coulter’s new book, Godless (which I will review when I can make the 30-mile drive to the bookstore) as being filled with lifted, unattributed passages. Likewise, he tested her columns from just the past year and found numerous instances of what he calls “textbook plagiarism.”
Ann is such a joke as a columnist now that her syndicator, Universal Press Syndicate, is doing their own investigation into the New York Post story on the subject. Meanwhile, Coulter is using her column to badmouth the Post while not actually answering the charges.
Email me with your own ‘It’s not plagiarism if’ jokes. Or email the editors at the Waco Trib who run Coulter’s column instead of mine (I’m working on one dealing with the Estate Tax the rest of the day, as a matter of fact) or email UPS (the syndicate not the shipping conglomerate) to tell them to syndicate me instead of her.
