For those of you who haven’t heard yet, Roy Graham’s book “Cowboy Mafia” looks like it is going to be made into a movie. Roy Graham is a writer who used to live in McGregor. He wrote his book, which is a true story about Texas drug-smuggling cowboys (he worked as a pilot for some millionaire Texas rancher, and unwittingly transported the guy’s drug money). He sold way more books than he expected (almost a million). The book made the New York Times’ best seller list.

The reason this is so cool is that it now looks like the book will be made into a movie. Not only that, but apparently some of the movie is supposed to be filmed right here in good old McGregor, TX! What’s more, Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Duvall, and Woody Harrelson are reported to be interested in the film.

I can’t wait to see where it goes from here; it sounds like this could make a pretty interesting movie.
