When I did a bit of searching around, I found one of my dictaphones in a leather jacket I have not worn since January. The other was still lost.

Space Monkey calls.

“What, not recorder? I was very enthused about making this into an audio file for you to post.”

“Me, too.”

“So, do you want your other recorder back? I have it with me in my backpack.”

That’s right, he had it. He came by the house so we could discuss how much we don’t like The Da Vinci Code, even though neither of us has seen the movie nor read the book. But we’re usually right about these things.

Over the weekend, we rented and watched Kingdom of Heaven. Sailor Moon joined us. I was left feeling disappointed. It was shot well and the visuals were good, but the story was lacking. Liam Neeson isn’t in the film nearly as long as he should be and Orlando Bloom is not a leading man.

I don’t know if director Ridley Scott felt constrained by the budget or what, but it did not seem nearly as epic as it was intended to be. Troy has this beat hands down.

Oddly enough, the only movies where I don’t question Orlando Bloom’s heterosexual bona fides is the Lord of the Rings trilogy, where he was running around in green tights and claiming to be an elf. Go figure.

While at my house, Space Monkey and I discussed what kind of furniture I would like if I were to move to an apartment of my own. Leather lounge chair and matching ottoman are a must. A large stock pile of cat clocks, too.
