I just got an email from super reader DH about a group of Republicans planning on being at the Capitol Monday morning. They want the Lege to vote no on HBs 3,4 and 5 because of the increase in the business tax.

Tell them that we have a spending crisis, not a revenue crisis, and that we do not want any new taxes!

What I think these whackos fail to realize is that we very much are in a revenue crisis, as evidenced by today’s top story on the DMN’s site. Schools cannot pay for most of the essential items for learning in this state and they are worried about an increase in the business tax that wouldn’t even offset the amount being cut from property taxes. These people disgust me.
